| My name is Mike Manns, I am the owner and operator of Manns Charter Service. I do admit to being a fishing addict, I guess that's why I named my saltwater boat the "Arctic Addiction"! I've been guiding for many years on the river as well as in the Cook Inlet and the Gulf of Alaska. I'm an Alaska resident and am proud to call this my home. Whether your fishing with me on the river or the ocean, I want to show you a day of fishing you won't soon forget. I like to have a lot of fun when I take people out fishing, but I do take my work very seriously. Your comfort and safety are my first priority. On your Saltwater charter you'll be fishing aboard my 33 ft. Custom built cabin cruiser. I'm fully insured and USCG licensed. There is an 8 man self-inflating life raft on board as well as GPS, EPIRB, Radar and USCG approved flotation jackets to insure your safety. We have a fresh water sink aboard and a heated cabin and restroom for your comfort and convenience. On your River charters you'll be fishing on my 20' Willy drift boat which will seat up to 4 people comfortably. There are approved life jackets on board for all sizes and we use some of the best fishing gear available. Fishing in a drift boat can be very relaxing with our cushion seats and most important of all, no motor noise. Nature offers many different sights and sounds you can enjoy throughout the day including moose, bald eagles, beavers, otters and bears, so don't forget your camera. Your fish will be filleted for you no matter which charter you decide on and I can recommend a place to have them processed and shipped if needed. |

| Most importantly... Don't forget your license! And if your fishing for king salmon you'll need a king stamp too. Remember...the tide waits for no man! Yes, believe it or not we fish with the tides on the river as well as the ocean so please be on time. You'll want to dress warmly, but dress in layers, as it can be pretty cold one minute then sunny and warm the next. I recommend you bring rain gear and wear rubber soled boots if you have them. Pack a lunch and bring snacks,drinks,water etc.. Don't forget your camera! We see eagles and otters, whales and sea lions as well as breathtaking mountain views! |
